NI800 / NI1600 - Detailed timetable for the ride weekend
11th-13th October
----- FRIDAY 11th October, from 12pm (noon) -----
1. Register and obtain your Rider Card(s*), keep this with you.
2. Get your bike checked (around the back), take your Rider Card.
3. KINGS are offering value meals in the bar from 5:30pm for riders / pillions.
4. Return to KINGS for our 7pm route reveal briefing - don't be late, we aim to start on time.
5. Grab your T-Shirt if you ordered one.
6. Get your routing sorted for the ride before heading to bed.
----- SATURDAY 12th October -----
7. Self organised breakfast, consider FRANKS (see email).
----- At the Station -----
8. Ensure you take an ODO photo before you start.
9. Know your ride briefing time, be there.
10. Know your ride-group, and your group's starting time.
----- WHEN YOU FINISH -----
11. Ensure you take an ODO photo when you finish.
12. Log your finish time with officials.
13. Have your photos inspected for finishers status.
14. Enjoy a meal and standard drink, this is paid for within your entry, use your rider's card as a coupon.
* Pillions get their own card too.

Entries for the NZ Distance Riders, NI800 and NI1600 event are now closed.
The NI800 and NI1600 will happen on the weekend of 11-13 October 2024.
Just like last year we’ll start and finish at Kings in Ohakune.
Entries closed on Friday 30 August 2024.

Requirements
We take rider safety very seriously. The NI1600 comes with significant challenges and risks so you need to have some previous long-distance riding experience.
To be accepted on the NI1600 you need to have ridden a ride such as:
NI800 is open to all-comers with or without experience.
There are no manned checkpoints for either ride. The organisers rely on checkpoint photos and odometer readings to show you've completed the ride.
We encourage and recommend riders to use the tracking software, Spotwalla. This is especially encouraged for NI1600 riders. If you're not familiar with Spotwalla we'll provide more info closer to the event.
Accommodation
There is limited accommodation at Kings but Ohakune has a lot of motels and short-term accommodation. We encourage you to book early.

- 7pm - Route reveal at the NZDR HQ in Kings

- 9.00 am - North Island 800 departs. Riders need to return within 12 hours to finish
- Midday - North Island 1600 departs. Riders need to return within 24 hours to finish
Sunday 13 October
- NI1600 riders start to return
- Share stories and celebrate your ride before you head home

- A qualifying Iron Butt Association Ride
