Full Rally Pack for the 2026, NI1600 Rally.
Let's get straight to it, this is what Rally Participants at the 2026, NI1600 Rally will need...
Keep an eye back here from time to time to make sure you're working off the latest versions, if we update anything it'll have a new date on it, and a new version number to ensure you know what you're working with.
Initial release versions was v1.3 - 21 Sept, 2026.
UPDATES:
1) CS081 update waypoint location to: -40.07646142662261, 175.37920777962805
2) Hunterville Ambulance Station - D-47 :: Location needs changing to: -39.935135948967435, 175.5667980467126 - This is across the road, and to the north of the junction now, on still on Paraekaretu Street.
3) Some further updates to start time listed below in red.
4) Rider Scoring Sheet is available here, if you're a Google Docs user, you may be able to make your own copy of this, then edit your version (online), otherwise, you can print this and fill it in ahead of your ride. docs.google.com/document/d/1fkALDcclIHceTJeie18qhUhkuSfcZpeYIDj1f4KauJM/edit?usp=sharing
5) D-54 - New Plymouth Ambulance Station - 24h :: Location needs changing to: -39.042833, 174.128873 - This is 4.6km east of the city, access is easier, parking is easier and it'll keep you out of the centre. If you happen to use the older location (which is an Op Shop), that'll be fine...
All of the above, 3 waypoint updates (1,2,5) have been incorporated into this Patch file (v1.4):
drive.google.com/file/d/16fRp6lBFYmjH0y9ZNIiESH-36_Hag-g9/view?usp=sharing
You should be able to Unzip and import this content into BaseCamp, and it should update the existing Waypoint locations with these new locations, since the names of them are the same as the previously supplied waypoints, any existing routes, (if you've not renamed your waypoints in basecamp), should then be updated to use the new locations... If you have given your waypoints new names, then you'll need to use these new ones to replace the previous ones within your routes.
For simplicity, we WILL allow people to use the old locations if needed, but it's worth noting that these newer locations are corrected and will help you if you adopt them.
UPDATE (Batch 2) - 6 October 2025:
D-43 - Porirua Ambulance Station - 24h
Originally listed as being at -41.14804099, 174.835493
ronically this is on a road called Ambulance Drive in a Community Hospital in Porirua... DO NOT GO HERE.
Better location is -41.13894820722494, 174.84717894935093 - There's a Free Ambulance sign at the ENTRANCE to the driveway, I can't imagine they'd want us driving down their drive to the bays themselves.
^^^^ Apply this update to your own pack for now, we're in the 11th hour of the planning window now, and so I'm pretty reluctant to release more patches.

Some points, for clarity.
- All Rally riders will be let go in an early starting group just before mid-day (@ 11:57am) on Saturday.
- Photo requirements are greatly simplified this year, there's no messing about with Helmets off, the only selfies you'll need are at the 'Virtual BBQs'.
- If you have a pillion, then make sure they are in all of the photos.
- All standard bonus photos require
- the Bonus Location as the subject, and
- (EACH OF) your Rally Flag(s) within it (if participating as a team, that means one for each rider) and
- If at all possible, each of your bikes, the St John locations are the exception to this if it ends up being impossible to park safely and courteously, then just use your flag. All bikes should be visible at the Collection Points.
- Start is at 11:57am, Saturday from the Station (-39.40233537429594, 175.4151090121313), with all of the other NI1600 riders, you'll be let go in a group before the first of the NI1600 Classic Riders. You get a 'free, 3 min head start on your plan'...
- End point is at Kings, Ohakune: (-39.40353319677171, 175.41424899497363) before 12 noon Sunday. We have gifted you all a free 3 minute period.
- New GPX file containing these two points has been uploaded and is linked to above.
Any questions, please ask, the earlier the better...
Thank you! :)
