The NI800 and NI1600 will happen on the weekend of 10-12 October 2025.
Just like last year we’ll start and finish at Kings in Ohakune.
Requirements
We take rider safety very seriously. The NI1600 comes with significant challenges and risks so you need to have some previous long-distance riding experience.
To be accepted on the NI1600 you need to have ridden a ride such as:
NI800 is open to all-comers with or without long distance riding experience.
There are no manned checkpoints for either ride. The organisers rely on checkpoint photos and odometer readings to show you've completed the ride.
We encourage and recommend riders to use the tracking software, Spotwalla. This is especially encouraged for NI1600 riders. If you're not familiar with Spotwalla we'll provide more info closer to the event.
Accommodation
There is limited accommodation at Kings but Ohakune has a lot of motels and short-term accommodation. We encourage you to book early.
Entries closed on Friday 29 August 2025.
